A loved one grows distant. A friendship is lost. A peer becomes a rival. A couple calls it quits. Etc.

The relationships involved can be PC-to-NPC or between NPCs. The change can be big and dramatic, or subtle, or anywhere in between.

If the change means that an NPC will now be a source of ongoing trouble, write them up as a threat.

"Actually, Blodwen… over the next few weeks, you notice Tegwen and Elios talking a lot. Well, Tegwen's talking, mostly, but Elios does a lot of nodding. Which is odd, cuz those two never agree on anything."

"'I… I can't do this anymore. Can't keep waiting. Waiting for you to come home. Waiting for you to leave. Hoping for you to, gods, for you to get yourself maimed so you can't do this anymore.
