Shrine (E)
Rectangular pool: spring-fed, a foot deep, and glows gently (glow fades when water leaves pool). Channel set into floor carries water to west. An altar dominates the east wall, but the icons have been replaced by items from Sajra's hoard.
- Noticeably cooler air
- Spring water bubbling up through silt
- Light patterns dancing on ceiling/walls
Sajra's hoard: Finely made worked goods on altar and shelves lining walls (immobile, beautiful, Value 4 total). PCs promised Thornthumb they wouldn't steal anything.
- What thing of shiny, worked beauty catches your eye?
- What about the collected objects feels tawdry, desperate?
Wynfor & Tiwlip (small, entranced, docile): HP 3; Damage bronze knife d4 (hand); Instinct to bask in Sajra's presence. Notes: Ill-fitting silks. Asleep or gazing at pool. Ignore PCs unless they try to take them or hoard. Then stab 'em.
Pile of furs in northeast corner serve as a bed for the kids. A fine (though chipped) ceramic urn serves as a chamber pot (the crinwin empty it as needed). Kids eat nasty stuff that the crinwin forage; don't like it, but Sajra tells them to eat.
Spirit of the spring (solitary, spirit, anxious): Instinct to fuss over everything. Notes: Mile-a-minute whisper. Asks questions, won't wait for replies. Hates Sajra but frets over its opinion. Easily upset, then insults herself.
Sajra is unlikely to be here when the PCs are. See Sajra the Swyn (next page).
